About Me
I'm a 34-year-old PhD student based in Brighton, Sussex. Until I was 29, I worked in the motorcycle industry, but during the lockdown I decided to make a big change and follow my long standing interest in technology. That led me to study Computer Science at the University of Sussex, where I thrived, scoring over 80% in six modules, including my dissertation. The success of my final project opened the door to a PhD, and I’ve been researching aircraft noise ever since. It’s a topic that brings together two big passions of mine: aviation and software. I originally studied for the EASA Part-66 Aeronautical Engineering qualification after school, and growing up under the Heathrow flight path gave me a personal connection to the subject. Now, I get to explore it through a mix of machine learning, immersive tech, and research that really matters to me.
Home Life
I take pleasure in weekend getaways, both playing and spectating football, engaging in running, boxing, cycling, and taking long walks. Additionally, I'm passionate about 3D printing, programming, developing video games, and modding game consoles. A significant portion of my time is spent catching up with my family.

Teaching
Alongside my work, I also enjoy teaching. I have been a teaching assistant for both the Introduction to Programming and Further Programming modules, being an active marker for the coursework. Up until this year, I was also part of the PAL (Peer assisted learning) programming giving help to other undergraduate students and running workshops on Java and Python.
