About Me
About Me

I am a 33-year-old PhD student based in Brighton, Sussex. Until I was 29, I worked in the motorcycle industry, but during the lockdown, I chose to pivot my career. With a longstanding interest in technology, I decided to transform my enthusiasm into a profession by pursuing a degree in Computer Science. At the University of Sussex, I thrived, securing over 80% in six modules, including my dissertation. The success of my dissertation project led to an invitation to undertake a PhD.

Home Life

I take pleasure in weekend getaways, both playing and spectating football, engaging in running, boxing, cycling, and taking long walks. Additionally, I'm passionate about 3D printing, programming, developing video games, and modding game consoles. A significant portion of my time is spent catching up with my family.

Teaching

Alongside my work, I also enjoy teaching. I have been a teaching assistant for both the Introduction to Programming and Further Programming modules, being an active marker for the coursework. Up until this year, I was also part of the PAL (Peer assisted learning) programming giving help to other undergraduate students and running workshops on Java and Python.
